Dear People of Christ in Athabasca:
"I know the plans I have for you, says the LORD, plans for your welfare and not for harm, to give you a future with hope. When you call upon me and come and pray to me, I will hear you. When you search for me, you will find me; if you seek me with all your heart, I will let you find me, says the LORD." Jeremiah 29:10-14
It is with a heavy heart that I have decided to suspend offering public worship services where we physically gather together. For the safety of all concerned, services at our church centres are now suspended until further notice from me.
We are a people who gather to worship: that is a big part of our identity. To address this need, we have started experimenting with various on-line services. Further information will be on our website and Facebook pages. We are still the church! Let us continue to pray and worship in our homes, over our phones, and yes, over the internet. I encourage you to read Psalm 91 daily, as well as have your own Morning and Evening prayers (or join us online).
Let us pursue the Lords' plans for us, let us call to Him and seek Him with all our hearts. May the Lord Jesus protect you, guide you, and comfort you.
In His Name,
David Greenwood, Bishop
