Maryann has been the rector of Christ Church since June 2023. She completed her theological education at the Vancouver School of Theology, and completed her curacy in the Diocese of Edmonton. Her passions are children and youth ministry, creative worship/liturgy, education, and empowering and supporting others to participate in the work of building the body of Christ.

She has a BA in Classical, Near Eastern, and Religious Studies (UBC), an Mdiv and MATS (VST), an MTh and PhD (University of Edinburgh). Her academic focus is Hebrew and Old Testament Studies, with a particular interest in King David and narrative analysis. She has published her thesis, written articles for a few books, and published book reviews in academic journals. She is currently an adjunct lecturer in Hebrew Bible at St. Stephen's College at the University of Alberta.
