 Dr. Pat is a retired Professor of Hebrew Bible and Dean of the Faculty of the Vancouver School of Theology in 2021, but continues a teaching and preaching ministry across the country, offering numerous sermons, adult education courses, retreats, workshops, and lectures. She remains active in local. ministry, helping to lead Trinity Presbyterian Church, a collaborative congregation formed from the amalgamation of three Presbyterian churches in the New Westminster and Burnaby, BC areas. She holds a Doctor of Theology in Old Testament/Biblical Studies from the Graduate Theological Union in Berkley, CA, and a Master of Divinity degree from Harvard Divinity School. She has published several books and a number of articles in scholarly and religious journals. She is married to a retired Lutheran pastor and has two grown children, she enjoys science fiction and gardening.
